Impact of COVID-19 on international logistics: delivery of machinery from China

Across successfully completed the delivery of a jaw crusher from China to Miass, despite the difficulties associated with border restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Across successfully completed the delivery of a jaw crusher from China to Miass, despite the difficulties associated with border restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Route: China, Henan, Zhengzhou - Manchuria/Zabaikalsk - Miass, Russia.

Weight-size characteristics of the cargo:
Maximum weight of one cargo piece - 43 tons
Oversize width and height parameters

Total batch weight - 89 tons

The cargo was delivered by three trawls to a warehouse in Manchuria, where it was further trans-shipped to the railway: at the moment, this is the only way to cross the borders, as the motorway route is still closed for operation due to the coronavirus-related epidemiological situation.

Across's representative office in Manchuria allows to deliver cargo both by road (motorway) and rail, and if necessary (for example, in case of unexpected congestion at the border) quickly change the type of transportation during the execution of the project.

Upon arrival in Zabaikalsk control measurements were taken to formalize the schemes. Afterwards the cargo was trans-shipped from Chinese to Russian platforms and delivered to the final consignee in Miass, Chelyabinsk oblast.
